O’s Summer Essentials!

Hey y’all,

This blog post is going to be a little different today. I enlisted help from one of my friends, who adores makeup as much as I, to give her insights and some of her favorite products. Tomorrow a list is going to go up of my summer essentials, but for today here is hers! Her twitter is @cupcakesbrownie or just leave a comment below!

I hope y’all like it as much as I did!

Summer Essentials:

Summer is my favorite season, especially because I live in a country where it’s winter 9 months out of the year. I have a few essentials for you to try out this summer. I didn’t include an SPF product in this list since it can be a bit personal.

Tatcha Water Cream – US$68.00:

I feel like this is a lightweight moisturizer that truly works for all skin types. I’ve got dry skin and my friend has oily skin and it works well for the both of us. It wears beautifully under makeup and gives your skin a gorgeous hydrated look.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair!™ Strength + Moisture Leave-In Mask – US$28.00:

This is a leave-in conditioner that truly does it all. I have dry and damaged hair from bleaching it over the years, and this product brings it back to life. It has a heat protectant built into it and does make your hair more manageable if you have frizzy hair like mine. Since I started using this product, I have noticed that my hair has been stronger.

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer:

  • Mini Size: US$19.00 – 0.31 oz/8.9ml (travel size)
  • Standard Size: US$54.00 – 1oz/30ml
  • Value Size: US$75.00 – 2 oz/59ml (Jumbo Size)

I feel like primers are very important especially during the summer if you want your makeup to stay on your face. Hourglass Mineral Veil has been my holy grail for the past couple of years. It has a matte finish to it and prolongs the wear of your makeup. The best part about it is that everything you put on top of this primer becomes waterproof!

E’s Note: She literally recommends this product to me every two minutes. I’ll be like, “O, what eyeshadow palette should I get?” and her response is, “Have you gotten Hourglass Minteral Veil Primer yet?” Haha.

Buxom Lipgloss in Rebecca – US$20.00:

I feel like Buxom glosses are the best for the summer time. They have a lip plumper built into it, but it isn’t really noticeable. I wear it usually because it has a cooling minty feeling to it and on hot days, it kinda cools your lips in a good way. I love this shade in particular because it has gold shimmer but is very sheer. I can probably put it on top of every lip colour and it only makes it better.

NudeStix Cream Highlighter in Hey Honey – US$30.00:

This highlighter isn’t overly blinding as a lot of the highlighters on the market today. This gives your skin a very glossy, wet-looking glow. It looks really natural once applied to the skin and is very long lasting. You can even apply this stuff on top of powders and it doesn’t separate, although I recommend putting it on before powder because it gives your skin a more seamless look.

I hope you guys are having a lovely summer right now and please feel free to tell us what your summer essentials are and if you have used these products in the past, please tell us how you feel about them.

Bye!
