Glow, baby glow

Hey y’all!

I’ve been dabbling with some liquid highlighters lately. I tried a cream highlighter, two liquid highlighters and I’ve been using my Powder Fenty beauty highlighter. Below are my thoughts on all of them!

Anastasia Liquid Glow Highlighter (US$25)

This is such a pretty highlighter! I think these are commonly overlooked, they released at the same time as their lipsticks (which are fantastic) and I think they got overlooked in the process. The formula is so nice, its thin but not watery. It works really well under foundation and over foundation, lately I’ve been putting it under my foundation and it really helps my powder highlighter POP.

It’s not as blinding at the CoverFx liquid highlighter but its a lot less expensive and it does pretty much the same as the CoverFx highlighter.

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops (US$42)

This was probably by far the most expensive highlighter that I have tried so far in my makeup collection. I really like these drops, they give off a blinding highlight, they sit on the face really, really, well. If by accident I forget and put it over my powder I find that it doesn’t actually mess up any powder that I’ve put down, and it stays in place.

My only issue with this is that it is really expensive. I usually use my liquid highlights under my foundation and I don’t think 42 dollars is worth it for something that will go under my makeup. However, if you’re a liquid highlight enthusiast I would definitely recommend this.

Sephora actually is still selling the mini Cover Fx kit that has some of their other product and includes a mini highlighter. You really do not need a lot of this product and going through an entire bottle of this is pretty challenging.

Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter (US$34)

This is by far my favorite powder highlighter on the market. Mean Money/Hustla Baby is absolutely gorgeous and Moscow Mule/Ginger Binge is beautiful as well.

You get a mix of both types of highlighters, one super bling-y and glowing and the other one is more subtle. At first I didn’t think that it would work well, having both types of highlight but the subtle one is so versatile that it can be used for almost anything, like an eyeshadow base or an eyebrow highlight.

*I recently hit pan on my Mean Money/Hustla Baby highlighter and I almost cried because I love this highlighter so much!*

Moonlight Glow Highlight Palette – Pur Cosmetics – US$12 (Used to be US$34)

This is a really cool cream highlight. It was the first highlight in my collection and it holds a special place in my heart. I like to use this highlight when I’m not wearing any makeup, I add a touch of Mac Fix Plus to my brush and then I get a super glow-y highlight, otherwise it is subtle and beautiful. It goes on top of your makeup really well, as well as just on your skin.

It is on sale right now, so if you’re interested you should grab it now!
