Best Products (According to Erin) in 2017

Hi Y’all,

I know it has been months since I’ve last written, I’ve been super busy with school. One of my new years resolutions is to write a lot more.

While I’ve been on break, I’ve been thinking about what my favorite products have been this year. So here’s my little list (I don’t have products that didn’t come out in 2017):

Eyes:

  1. Natasha Denona Lila Palette

US$129.00

Man, oh, man, is this palette expensive. I finally broke down, swatched the palette and instantly fell in love with it. The mattes are creamy and soft, and the shimmers apply with no problems at all. Yes, there is fallout which is disappointing for a $129 palette but the color scheme and the way the shadow perform is top notch.

There are definitely other palettes out there with a purple color scheme so if you’re not looking to break the bank there are tons of options out there. But if you want something high end and fancy to ring in the New Year, I  suggest this palette.

2. Stila Glitter & Glow Eyeshadows

US$24.00

These shadows are so much fun. I was very curious when they first came out, glitter has always been an issue with me. But these are so easy to use, with a brush or the applicator. They don’t have to go all over the lid, but they do stay all day if you use them as a shadow or a liner.

Definitely made my 2017 more sparkly.

Face:

3. Fenty Beauty Foundation

US$34.00

I am not picky when it comes to foundation, I don’t mind a matte foundation or more dewy foundation. Rihanna’s foundation, however is my all time favorite one to use. I am so happy I made the switch over to this foundation, I use it every day and it stays no matter how much exercising I do.

4. Fenty Beauty Kilawatt highlighter

US$34.00

I was unsure if I would like the dual highlighter, subtle and one with a huge glow factor. But these highlighters are absolutely beautiful and very versatile. I picked up two different ones, Hu$tla Baby and Moscow Mule and while I used Hu$tla Baby more for my highlight, Moscow Mule works perfectly as an eyeshadow or liner.

6. Benefit Airbush Concealer

US$20.00

I am not really into spot concealing, I am more concerned with my under eye dark circles. I think this concealer works so well to conceal them and blends effortlessly into my foundation. It’s a real treat to use.

I hope you all have a wonderful last day of 2017, and a brilliant, magnificent 2018!

Xoxo,

E
